Extremely tight
My calf is 16.5" and it was a massive struggle to get the guard onto my leg. Getting them off was almost impossible and the sleeve was starting to pop from the pressure I was having to apply to get my leg out. We get 2 minutes in class to get gear on and get back onto the mat. NO WAY I could get the guards on in 2 mintues let alone the rest of my gear. If sizing was correct, I might be interested but I thinnk I'd need a 2xl which is not offered.
