Great potential, needs improvement
These definitely look more professional than pulling out a roll of electrical tape to put a stripe on a belt, however, they don't stick as well as electrical tape does. Where I would almost never need to replace electrical tape stripes (as long as you use good 3M tape!), I am constantly replacing these, as they fall off more easily. The stripes are too rigid and don't move well with the belt, especially if you are grabbing the belt anywhere near the stripe to pull on to tighten when you tie it. They need to be more of a flexible, stretchable vinyl, as opposed to a regular sticker material. I do like the easy of use, professional look when presenting them to students and the consistency of the size (using electrical tape it seems not all instructors can accurately estimate size and we would frequently have stripes cut that were way too long or way too short). I do hope they improve the product because it is a great idea. I don't mind paying a little more for a professional looking effective product. Unfortunately, replacing these as often as I do, I'm not sure they are cost effective. Side note: These actually come on a thinner roll with the stripes end to end vertically instead of stacked horizontally like shown, more like a masking tape roll, only one stripe wide. If you are anything like me and want to use some sort of a dispenser to keep these neat and easy to access, keep that in mind. If they were actually the wide roll as shown, I'd have had a much harder time constructing my own dispenser for them. Now, if Century comes up with a more flexible/sticky stripe & a dispenser, I'd be sold!
