  • Excellent and durable. Best swords available.
We have a dozen of these at the various sizes. The 24" in my personal favorite and the kids all like the 34". They have held up to lots of usage over the last two years with kids from 3 up to 12 even while sparring outside. Helmets are required and I wear a cup and gloves when sparring with boys 8 and up because these swords can hurt. These are the best padded swords available. Be careful when storing. We have some that got warped from being bent while storing.
  • Almost what I wanted
At my dojo they use a previous version of this that has a curved blade with a red swath of cloth to indicate the "sharp" edge. That version had an oval tapered handle. I really liked using it. You don't sell that version anymore. The description of this sword is the same except it has a straight blade and doesn't have the indicator for the blade direction. I can live with that. However, I was really disappointed upon the sword's arrival to see it has a round hilt and not an oval one as state in the description. I suppose I can get over it, but that was a bid selling point for me. I cannot argue against the quality of workmanship. The "blade" appears, hits, and reacts similarly to the ones I used from the dojo.
