  • Almost what I wanted
At my dojo they use a previous version of this that has a curved blade with a red swath of cloth to indicate the "sharp" edge. That version had an oval tapered handle. I really liked using it. You don't sell that version anymore. The description of this sword is the same except it has a straight blade and doesn't have the indicator for the blade direction. I can live with that. However, I was really disappointed upon the sword's arrival to see it has a round hilt and not an oval one as state in the description. I suppose I can get over it, but that was a bid selling point for me. I cannot argue against the quality of workmanship. The "blade" appears, hits, and reacts similarly to the ones I used from the dojo.
