  • You buy this for looks and mobility nothing else
I ordered one of these chest pads through my instructor. While doing research it was irritating that I couldn't get much information about this product other than promotional videos, the little bit of information about it here, and unhelpful reviews about this chest pad elsewhere. I almost didn't buy this product. This gear is mostly just for looks, dear reader, its fit is contoured and doesn't encumber you like other chest pads that feel bulky. While its called Armor, this "Armor Vest" does nothing to soften/absorb blows like other chest pads do, minimal as others may be, put frankly the word Armor in its name is a misnomer. Depending on who you're sparring with, if they hit hard anyway, even if you're wearing a thinker chest pad it doesn't matter anyway, you still take a hard hit. Which I'm sure is very useful information to some of you, about this product specifically. To be clear, if you take a hit wearing this you take the full impact of the strike. The material while it feels nice and doesn't restrict your range of motion, is much thinner than other chest pads. If you buy it I personally would recommend you buy it a size or to larger and wear a rib protection pad under this, so you can look cool and have "better" padding when the unthinkable happens and you do take a hit.
