Good for cardio, but terrible protection and wrist support
These were my first pair of boxing gloves and at the time, I had no idea how to buy gloves and what to look for. They would be good if your focus is aimed towards cardio only, but if you need a good protective glove for heavy bag and pad work, you should probably put your dollar towards something more protective. As soon as I started building enough strength to hit the bag harder, I immediately started experiencing intense wrist pain when I made contact at the end of my punches. These gloves simply do not offer adequate wrist protection or padding for impact. I have upgraded to a higher intensity glove that can withstand stronger force. These Century gloves were good to start with at least.
Wish they had more sizes
These were a great price and I love that they are washable. They fit even with wraps but the fit isn't the greatest. For the price it isn't bad but I probably wouldn't buy them again. They offer enough protection for heavy bag work but I find the material slides off the bag easily if my aim is a little off which didn't happen with any of the leather gloves I tried.
Not bad for the price
I just ordered these and they arrived today so I tried them at class this evening. I was worried they'd be too small after trying on a different pair of Century gloves. These fit ok though and I was able to wrap my hands too. The fit could be a little better but for the price, they'll do. They had enough padding for the heavy bag. I ordered the painted stripe pattern an the colors were more of a vibrant orange than red but still nice looking and unique. I like not having gloves that look like everyone else's. Haven't tried washing them yet.
I’m brand new to boxing but after wearing damp, smelly loaner gloves in my first boxing class, it was a no-brainer to buy my own gloves. When I saw I could get washable ones, I jumped on that. Are you planning to make these for everybody? That would be very, very smart. Hope you do that! I’m sure women aren’t the only ones who appreciate training in washable gloves!
Great Gloves and Solid Innovation
I think people underestimate the germs and smells that come from the insides of gloves. No more smelly bags, wraps, and hands from months of sweat build up. Not only that, but they're super comfortable too and come in awesome designs! Thanks!
Our school has really taken a liking to these gloves. The machine wash is one highlight, but the wrist support, along with the cool styles has been a really fun way to let our members express themselves and improve their workouts!
LOVE these gloves
I love these gloves. They are great for my fitness kickboxing class. They are lightweight and great, espeically for beginners. I use them every class. Throwing them in the washing machine is the BEST THING EVER.
