Century partners with IMMAF, becomes official brand of world championships
OKLAHOMA CITY (June 25, 2014) — Century Martial Arts has partnered with the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation just in time for the first-ever IMMAF World Championships, taking place the first week of July in Las Vegas. As part of the partnership, Century will provide each IMMAF World Championship competitor with top-quality Century fight gear.

The IMMAF — a non-profit organization founded in Sweden in 2012 — strives to promote the sport of mixed martial arts by organizing competitions between international amateur fighters. The upcoming IMMAF World Championships is the next step in establishing the federation and its competitors in the MMA industry. Century president, Sarah Fields, sees the potential of the IMMAF and is excited to be able to work with them.

“The IMMAF is already having a positive impact on the mixed martial arts industry,” Fields said. “The IMMAF shares our desire to work together to provide the athletes the best possible equipment to compete in. We are excited to contribute to this event and work with athletes from all over the world.”

With more than 35 years of industry experience, Century is the leader in the development and manufacturing of innovative martial arts products. Other prominent MMA promoters have already teamed up with Century, including the Ultimate Fighting Championship®, making Century a clear choice for the IMMAF and an ideal match for both the organization and its fighters.

“For us it is very important to have partners who share our vision to develop the sport of MMA globally,” said IMMAF championship director Nyra Phillips. “With Century onboard, we are happy to have on our side a company that is highly committed to quality and shares our concern for the safety of the athletes. We could not be more pleased.”

At the World Championships the competing athletes will be provided with Century competition-level gloves and shorts, and rash guards for the women, which will serve to standardize equipment across all the national teams, promote safety, and encourage fair play.

“Our desire has always been to ensure the best possible conditions for the athletes when demonstrating their talent in the championships,” Phillips said. “With Century providing the equipment we are confident that this goal will be achieved.”
